“Nature offers a mirror of wholeness in the often shattering aftermath of overwhelming life events... always rich in 'edges' where old patterns can resolve and something new can begin.”

Wonderstory – project highlights (2011- Present)

Scapegoat: Magical Being ICU (2018)
For two years, an ensemble of actors, musicians, writers, ecologists, and directors ventured into an investigation of the Scapegoat Complex. This project explored the Scapegoat archetype through the lens of history, culture, family constellation, and Earth’s intelligence. Ursula K. Le Guin’s short story, For Those Who Walked Away From Omelas, also served as a map for understanding the dynamics of groupthink and collective shadow displacement onto ‘other’.  Artists and participants were invited to consider that family members who ‘take the blame’ may be serving as a vessel for unheld ancestral trauma.  Magical Being: ICU continues to inspire other Wonderstory projects to help us see patterns of ‘othering’ within ourselves, our family systems, and perpetuates a disconnect that ripples into our cultural body.
